AND SHALL CONFORM TO APPLICABLE STATE AND LOCAL FIRE CODES,
HEALTH CODES, AND ALL LOCAL ZONING ORDINANCES.

(4) The [home] HOMES shall accept, from the police
and other referral sources in the community, clients for
temporary shelter[;].

[(5) There shall be 20 beds in the shelter home.]

(e)  The Department of Human Resources may contract with
private nonprofit organizations to operate the program.

(f)  The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene shall give
priority access, as appropriate, to women evaluated by the
shelter [home] HOMES to institutions under its supervision and
shall supply appropriate mental health services.

(g)  The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene shall not
use [this] shelter HOMES as part of [their] ITS discharge service
plan.

(h) Housing may not be provided under this subtitle to
applicants for housing who are not residents of Maryland at the
time application for housing is made.

127.

(a)  Funds for the establishment and operation of the
[model] shelter [home] HOMES shall be as provided in the annual
budget.

(b)  The Secretary of Human Resources shall by rule and
regulation set charges for services rendered by the [model]
shelter [home] HOMES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

FOR the purpose of permitting the governing body of Harford
County to provide a county property tax credit for real
property owned by a certain little league association; and
providing for effective dates for this Act.
