shall be no budgetary transfer by
budget amendment or otherwise
from this program to any other
program without the approval of
the Joint Budget and Audit
Committee. Proposed budget
amendments shall be reported to
the Joint Budget and Audit
Committee in advance of
submitting each amendment to the
Governor for his approval. Any
budgetary transfer between
categories of assistance within
the assistance payments program
in excess of 5% must receive
prior approval of the General
Assembly in accordance with
Article 41, Section 245(c) of the
Laws of Maryland when the
Legislature is not in session or
by the Budget Committees when in
session. Transfers of less than
5% between the categories of
assistance are to be reported to
the Committees but prior approval
will not be required.
Funds are appropriated in the
amount of $723,456 for the
Project Home pilot project.
Authorization is hereby granted
to transfer and use these monies
as contractual services in the
Project Home pilot project should
the Department determine after
careful evaluation that the pilot
project should be continued in
fiscal year 1986. Any unused
monies for this project shall
revert to the Public Assistance
Payment Program .01 under the
Income_______________Maintenance
Administration.
Up to $150,000 in general funds
appropriated_____under_____Public
Assistance payments may____be
transferred to provide legal
assistance to General Public
Assistance recipients to the
extent necessary attempting to
become eligible for SSI benefits.
Provided that $224,285 of this
appropriation made for the
purpose of travel may not be
expended until the Budget
Committees have approved the
