SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

203.

(m) In Carroll County, the board of license commissioners
may impose a fine of not more than [$1,000] $2,000 or suspend a
license for any violation that is cause for suspension under the
alcoholic beverage laws affecting Carroll County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect, July 1, 1985.

CHAPTER 88

(House Bill 1037)

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Alcoholic Beverages - Licenses

FOR the purpose of repealing the requirement that Class C beer,
wine and liquor licenses can only be issued to clubs in
Carroll County that serve full-course meals at least twice
daily.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 20(e-2)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Replacement Volume and 1984 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

20.

(e-2) (1) In Carroll County the annual fee for such a
license shall be twelve hundred fifty dollars ($1,250.00) for any
club which is a local chapter of a nationally organized nonprofit
fraternal or veterans' organization and fifteen hundred dollars
($1/500.00) for any other club.
