(5)  The Commissioners shall elect annually a chairman
and vice-chairman from among the members of the Commission.

(6)  The Commission shall meet at the call of the
chairman, a majority of the members, or the Secretary of Economic
and Community Development.

(7)  Members of the Commission shall receive no
compensation for their services, but they may be reimbursed for
proper and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their
duties on. the Commission in accordance with the Standard Travel
Regulations.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That for terms
beginning July 1, 1985, 3 members of the Commission shall be
appointed for terms of 4 years each; 2 members shall be appointed
for terms of 3 years each; 2 members shall be appointed for terms
of 2 years each; and 2 members shall be appointed for terms of 1
year each.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

State Board for Higher Education - Approval Standards

FOR the purpose of clarifying the authority of the State Board
for Higher Education to consider need evaluations when
approving certain academic programs and certifying certain
postsecondary institutions.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
