of any of their units and that any reference to Article 31 of the
Code or of any other provision that relates to the obligations of
the State shall be construed to mean the revised provision.
SECTION 12. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that this Act shall
take effect on October 1, 1985.

(House Bill 2)
AN ACT concerning
State Finance and Procurement - Transferred Provisions
FOR the purpose of transferring Article 21 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, "Procurement", to be Division II of the new
Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland designated and
known as the "State Finance and Procurement Article";
directing the publishers of the Annotated Code to make
certain changes; providing for Revisor's Notes; and
generally relating to procurement.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the provisions of Article 21 (Procurement) of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, including any provisions of Article
21 that are amended by an Act of the General Assembly of 1985,
are hereby transferred to be part Division II of the State
Finance and Procurement Article (Chapter ____, being House Bill
1, of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1985). The publishers
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the Michie Company, are
directed to renumber sections as necessary to give effect to the
purposes of this Act.
Any numerical cross-references and similar non-numerical
cross-references that refer to provisions found in Article 21
shall be construed to refer to the corresponding provisions in
Division II of the State Finance and Procurement Article.
The Department of Legislative Reference, through its Revisor
of Statutes, may insert Revisor's Notes as appropriate to discuss
and explain aspects of law found in the State Finance and
Procurement Article. The Revisor's Notes are not law and may not
be considered to have been enacted as part of this or any other
Act.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect October 1, 1985.
