SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

CHAPTER 237

(House Bill 900)

AN ACT concerning

Juvenile Law - Alcohol-Related Offenses - Intake

FOR the purpose of providing that a citation of a juvenile for
violation of certain criminal provisions dealing with
alcohol consumption by minors shall be forwarded to the
State's Attorney if the child fails to follow the directions
of the intake officer to attend an alcohol rehabilitation
program or a supervised work program comply with the intake
officer's alcohol rehabilitation program referral or
supervised work program assignment; clarifying language; and
generally relating to the processing of juveniles for
alcohol violations.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

3-810.

(a) The intake officer shall receive:

(1) Complaints from a person or agency having
knowledge of facts which may cause a person to be subject to the
jurisdiction of the court; and
