at the rate per diem of actual service herein provided and
traveling expenses, in accordance with the Standard Travel
Regulations, shall be allowed to members of the Board for
attendance at Board meetings. Said Board may also employ
inspectors and examiners to assist the Board in the discharge of
its duties. The compensation of the inspectors and examiners
shall be as provided in the annual State budget, but in no event
less than $30 for each day employed in the discharge of their
official duties.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

FOR the purpose of exempting small rural electric cooperatives
from the rate making jurisdiction of the Public Service
Commission; defining a small rural electric cooperative; and
exempting small rural electric cooperatives from provisions
relating to automatic pass-through of certain costs.
