SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

20.

(a) A Class C beer, wine and liquor license shall be issued
by the clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the
place of business is located, and shall authorize the holder
thereof to keep for sale and sell all alcoholic beverages at
retail at any club, at the place therein described, for
consumption on the premises only; except in Kent and Queen Anne's
counties where beer may be sold for consumption off the premises.
The annual fee for such a license shall be two hundred and fifty
dollars ($250.00), and shall be payable to such clerk, before any
such license is issued, for distribution as hereinafter provided.

(f-1) In Charles County [such a], THIS license may be
issued either to a bona fide nonprofit organization or to a club
composed solely of members who served in the armed forces of the
United States, in any war in which the United States has engaged,
which organization or club operates solely for the use of its own
members and their guests when accompanied by [such] THE members,
provided [such] THE club or organization meets in a clubhouse
that is used for no other purpose, the [fee for such license
shall be two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00).] LICENSE FEE IS
$250. THIS LICENSE SHALL PERMIT ON PREMISE CONSUMPTION OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE CLUBHOUSE OR ON PROPERTY THAT IS
DIRECTLY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CLUBHOUSE, IS OWNED BY THE CLUB OR
BONA FIDE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION, AND IS USED EXCLUSIVELY BY THE
MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS FOR SOCIAL FUNCTIONS OR BUSINESS OF THE
CLUB OR ORGANIZATION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

State Board of Cosmetologists - Per Diem Expenses

FOR the purpose of altering the per diem expenses that each
member of the State Board of Cosmetologists shall receive
while engaged in the official duties of the Board.
