(House Bill 587)

AN ACT concerning

Queen Anne's County - Plumber's Fees

FOR the purpose of repealing the specific amounts to be charged
for fees, performance bonds, licenses, license applications,
and permits to plumbers and those doing work related to
plumbing in Queen Anne's County; permitting the Queen Anne's
County Commissioners to establish or change the amounts of
these charges and establish the amount of certain bonds; and
relating generally to the licensure of plumbers in Queen
Anne's County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of Queen Anne's County

Section 10-104(e), 10-108, 10-109(a), 10-110(b), l0-lll(a),

and 10-201
Article 18 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1983 Edition, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 18 - Queen Anne's County

10-104.

(e) Licenses shall be used for a period not in excess of
one year and shall expire on June 1 of each year; renewal shall
be for a period not to exceed one year. The application for said
license must be accompanied by a [fee of ten dollars ($10.00)]
FEE, and a performance bond [in the amount of two thousand
dollars ($2,000.00)] conditioned upon the contractor's proper
installation of septic tanks, dry wells, tile fields, etc., said
bond to be in such form as shall be prescribed by the County
Planning Board.

10-108.

(a) All plumbers doing work in Queen Anne's County must be
licensed in accordance with the provisions of Article 43,
Sections 326 to 328 ARTICLE 56, SECTIONS 444 TO 462A, inclusive,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended from
time to time). In addition all master plumbers doing work in
Queen Anne's County, whether residents of said County or not,
must obtain a county license from the County Plumbing Board. The
application for said license must be accompanied by a [fee of ten
dollars ($10.00)] FEE, and a performance bond [in the amount of
