SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Revenue and Taxes - Refund of Taxes

FOR the purpose of repealing the requirement that the Comptroller
report to the General Assembly all claims for refund allowed
in excess of $1,000.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

Section 219

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1980 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

219.

No such allowed claim for refund shall be paid until all
other State, county or municipal taxes, fees, or charges, as the
case may be, due by the person entitled to such refund have been
paid in full. [Subject to Article 40, § 51 of the Code, the
Comptroller shall make a report to the General Assembly at the
beginning of each regular session thereof, of all claims for
refund allowed in excess of $1,000.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
