Article 48A - Insurance Code

Section 478-I

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 48A - Insurance Code

478-1.

This subtitle shall no longer be of any force after the
expiration of the Urban Property Protection and Reinsurance Act
of 1968 OR JUNE 30, 1988, WHICHEVER SHALL LAST OCCUR; except that
obligations incurred by the association established pursuant to
the provisions of this subtitle shall not be impaired by the
expiration of this subtitle and such association shall be
continued for the purpose of performing such obligations.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

State Use Industries Advisory Committee

FOR the purpose of altering the composition of   the State Use

Industries Advisory Committee by deleting the     Secretary of

the Department of Human Resources and adding  the Secretary
of the Department of Employment and Training.
