SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That for the real estate license renewal period of May
1, 1984 through April 30, 1986, the Real Estate Commission shall
consider clock hours of approved continuing education completed
by the licensee between July 1, 1983 and April 30, 1986 to meet
the continuing education requirements of Article 56, § 217 of the
Annotated Code.
However, for the renewal period May 1, 1984 to April 30,
1986 clock hours of approved continuing education completed
between July 1, 1983 and April 30, 1986 shall meet the continuing
education requirements of this section.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.
