TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE
TOWN OF EASTON
No. 49
A Resolution of the Town of Easton, adopted pursuant to the
authority of Article XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland and
Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), as amended, titled "Corporations - Municipal",
sub-title "Home Rules", sub-heading "Charter Amendments", to
repeal Article II, Section 19 of the Charter of the Town of
Easton (Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), as amended, titled "Talbot County", sub-title
"Easton").
The purpose of said amendment is to authorize the Town
Council of the Town of Easton to purchase or sell property having
a single or composite value equal to or exceeding Two Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) without obtaining the previous
approval of the majority of all registered voters of the Town and
to remove from Charter of the Town of Easton any limitation upon
the power of the Town Council of the Town of Easton to purchase
or sell property of the Town of Easton.

Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed.
