Amendment No. 8:

On page 155, in lines 5 through 11, inclusive, strike
"$100,000 of this amount may be used to fund a program of
"Teacher Education Scholarships for Areas of Critical Shortage"
if such a program is established by appropriate legislation" and
substitute:

"$80,000 of this amount may be used to fund a program of
Teacher Education Scholarships - Areas of Critical
Shortage contingent upon enactment of Senate Bill 478 or
House Bill 671 or House Bill 1017, and $20,000 of
this amount may be used to fund a program of Distinguished
Scholar Program - Teacher Education Scholarships
contingent upon enactment of Senate Bill 479 or
House Bill 672".
