(c) Upon referral by the Secretary of State, the Attorney
General may file a civil action in the Circuit Court for Anne
Arundel County for an order restraining further violations of
this subtitle, restraining the defendant from conducting any
further fund-raising activities in Maryland, enforcing compliance
with this subtitle, and such other relief as [he deems] IS DEEMED
appropriate. As a condition of registration, each charitable
organization, professional [fund-raiser] FUND-RAISING counsel,
[and] professional solicitor, AND SOLICITOR shall consent in
writing to the jurisdiction and venue of the Circuit Court for
Anne Arundel County to grant appropriate relief.
(d) The Secretary of State shall adopt rules and
regulations for the administration and enforcement of this
subtitle.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning
Senators and Delegates Constitutional Officers
- Qualifications
FOR the purpose of providing that a person must be registered
voter of this State either at the time of filing as a
candidate or at the time of appointment for the office of
Senator or Delegate any Constitutional Office if the person
is to be eligible to serve prohibiting certain persons from
entering upon the duties of, or continuing to serve in,
certain elective offices created by or pursuant to the
Maryland Constitution if the person was not a registered
voter in the State on the date of the person's election or
appointment to that term or if, at any time thereafter and
prior to the completion of the term, the person ceases to be
a registered voter; acknowledging certain exceptions as a
Senator or Delegate; and submitting this amendment to the
qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their adoption
or rejection.
