CHAPTER 8

(House Bill 203)

AN ACT concerning

Harford County - Alcoholic Beverages Licenses

FOR the purpose of providing that in Harford County a Class A-1
alcoholic beverages licensee who held a Class A license
before a certain date may convert to a Class A license by
notifying the Harford County liquor board before a certain
date under certain circumstances; providing that Class A-1
and A-2 licensees must have and maintain a certain minimum
amount of beer, wine, and liquor in stock; generally
relating to Class A-1 and A-2 licenses in Harford County;
providing that in Harford County if the number of any class
of alcoholic beverages licenses issued after a certain date
exceeds a certain quota, new licenses of such class may not
be issued unless certain circumstances occur; altering the
distance a Class C licensee in Harford County may locate
from a school; and making this Act an emergency measure.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 18(o) and 52A(a)(2)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 52A(b-l)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

18.

(o) (1) In Harford County the annual license fee is:

(i) 7 day license - $1,250 - Class A-1 off-sale
beer, wine and liquor license.

(ii) 6 day license (Monday through Saturday)
$800 - Class A-2 off-sale beer, wine and liquor license.
