rehabilitation. Tax credits under this section are available only
over one continuous period of time for any dwelling OR COMMERCIAL
PROPERTY, but not exceeding one year. Provided, however, that
immediately on or before the date of occupancy (following
construction or substantial rehabilitation), and regardless of
whether the dwelling OR COMMERCIAL PROPERTY is sold, rented, or
merely occupied, the applicant for a tax credit shall send to the
governing body of the county, OR municipality; or Baltimore City
an appropriate notice that the dwelling OR COMMERCIAL PROPERTY
has been sold, rented, or occupied. Failure to comply with the
provisions of this section shall result in the immediate
forfeiture of all tax credits which have been applied to the
dwelling unit OR COMMERCIAL PROPERTY concerned.
(c) The governing body of the county, OR municipality, or
Baltimore City may determine the amount of the eligibility
requirements, and application procedures for this tax credit, in
a manner consistent with this section.
(d) The tax credit provided for in this section applies
only to county, municipality, and/or city taxes. This section
may not be construed or applied to change the normal and regular
assessment procedures.
(E) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO BALTIMORE CITY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning
Adopt a Rockfish Program
FOR the purpose of creating an "Adopt a Rockfish" program in the
Department of Natural Resources; providing that a person may
adopt a rockfish for a certain fee; requiring allowing the
Department of Natural Resources to adopt a certain fee
schedule for the purchase of certain certificates; allowing
a person who adopts a rockfish to receive a certain
certificate; providing for the use of certain revenues from
this Act to cover certain expenses; providing for the use of
certain other revenues from this Act for certain rockfish
hatcheries management and educational techniques; allowing
the Department to advertise this program; providing for a
certain termination date; and generally relating to an adopt
a rockfish program.
