(C) IF THE PUBLIC HEALTH VETERINARIAN OR THE LOCAL HEALTH
OFFICER ISSUES AN ORDER TO SURRENDER AN ANIMAL THAT IS SUSPECTED
OF HAVING RABIES, A PERSON MAY NOT HIDE OR SECRET THE ANIMAL:

(1)  IN THE CUSTODY OF THE PERSON; OR

(2)  IN THE CUSTODY OR WITH THE COOPERATION OF ANY
OTHER PERSON.

[(c)] (D) A person who fails or refuses to comply with any
provision of this section or any order issued under this section
is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine
not exceeding $500.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Secretary of
Health and Mental Hygiene shall promulgate rules and regulations
to carry out the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Road Tax on Motor Carriers - Commercial Motor Vehicle

FOR the purpose of altering the definition of the term
"commercial motor vehicle" which determines the vehicles
that are subject to the road tax for motor carriers;
including any vehicle that has seats for more than 14
passengers in addition to the driver within the definition
of "commercial motor vehicle"; excluding certain vehicles or
combinations of vehicles of a certain weight from the
definition of "commercial motor vehicle"; making stylistic
changes; and generally relating to the definition of
"commercial motor vehicle" under the provision of law
relating to the road tax on motor vehicles.
