(2) (I) IN LIEU OF THE BOND REQUIRED BY PARAGRAPH (1)
OF THIS SUBSECTION, SECURITIES APPROVED BY THE BOARD OR CASH IN
SUCH AMOUNT AS THE BOARD PRESCRIBES MAY BE DEPOSITED, WHICH SHALL
BE KEPT IN THE CUSTODY OF THE BOARD.
(II) THE BOARD AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE TO
THE DEPOSITOR OF THE SECURITIES OR CASH MAY APPLY THEM TO ANY TAX
DUE, AND FOR THAT PURPOSE THE SECURITIES MAY BE SOLD BY THE BOARD
AT PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SALE WITHOUT NOTICE TO THE DEPOSITOR OF THE
SECURITIES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

(House Bill 524)
AN ACT concerning
Rabies Control
FOR the purpose of requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental
Hygiene under a certain system to grant authority equally to
the public health veterinarian and the local health officer
to determine whether or not to destroy or quarantine certain
animals that may have rabies; providing that a person may
not hide or secret an animal that is suspected of having
rabies after receiving certain orders to surrender the
animal; providing certain penalties for hiding or secreting
an animal that is suspected of having rabies after a person
receives certain orders to surrender the animal; and
providing that the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene
enact certain rules and regulations.
