(2) IN LIEU OF THE BOND REQUIRED BY PARAGRAPH (1) OF
THIS SUBSECTION, SECURITIES APPROVED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OR
CASH IN SUCH AMOUNTS AS THE COUNCIL PRESCRIBES MAY BE DEPOSITED,
AND SHALL BE KEPT IN THE CUSTODY OF THE COUNCIL. THE COUNCIL AT
ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE TO THE DEPOSITOR OF THE SECURITIES OR
CASH MAY APPLY THEM TO ANY TAX DUE, AND FOR THAT PURPOSE THE
SECURITIES MAY BE SOLD BY THE BOARD AT PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SALE
WITHOUT NOTICE TO THE DEPOSITOR OF THE SECURITIES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning
Crimes and Punishments - Dogfights
FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from promoting, managing,
aiding, directing, or conducting a dogfight; prohibiting a
person from receiving money for the admission of another to
a dogfight; prohibiting the sale, purchase, or possession of
dogs for dogfighting; prohibiting the sale, purchase,
possession, training, or use of a dog to seize, detain, or
maltreat a domestic animal; prohibiting a person from
obtaining or permitting a building to be used for a
dogfight; prohibiting a person from attending a dogfight;
providing for penalties for violation of this Act; providing
for the disposition of dogs seized in enforcement of this
Act and generally relating to the prohibition of dogfights.
FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from using or permitting
a dog to be used in, arranging, or conducting a dogfight.
BY adding to repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
