SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - State Government

9-907.

(b) Each member must be a resident of the State and a
veteran WHO HAS AN HONORABLE DISCHARGE FROM THE ARMED FORCES
WHOSE FINAL SEPARATION FROM ACTIVE SERVICE WITH A UNIFORMED
SERVICE OF THE UNITED STATES WAS UNDER HONORABLE CONDITIONS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect October 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Insurance - Dental Service Plans

FOR the purpose of providing for the regulation of prepaid dental
plan organizations; describing contents of an application
for a certificate of authority; prescribing conditions for
issuance, expiration, and renewal of a certificate of
authority; prescribing reserve surplus requirements and
exceptions; prescribing membership coverage; providing for
examination of plans and recovery of the costs of such
examination; providing for annual reports; prescribing
certain fees; prescribing fraudulent practices; providing
for regulation of agents; providing for suspension and
revocation of certificates; providing for rehabilitation,
liquidation, and conservation of dental service plans;
providing for solicitation; providing for the approval or
disapproval by the Insurance Commissioner; providing for
severability of invalid provisions; and generally relating
to dental service plans.
