(House Bill 250)

AN ACT concerning

Power Plant Siting - Access for Studies

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Department to enter on private
property for purposes of collecting data and conducting
environmental and engineering studies for potential sites
for electric generating stations, potential corridors for
rail and pipeline access to those stations and to certain
potential overhead transmission lines, subject to certain
notice requirements and to judicial order where necessary;
and requiring that the Department shall reimburse a property
owner or certain lessees for damages resulting from entry
onto private property as authorized by this Act.
