(6) May not have had within 2 years before
appointment a substantial financial interest in a person
regulated by the Board.

(c)  While a member of the Board, a consumer member may not
have a substantial financial interest in a person regulated by
the Board.

(d)  Before taking office, each appointee to the Board shall
take the oath required by Article I, § 9 of the State
Constitution.

(e)  (1) The term of a member is 5 years.

(2)  The terms of members are staggered as required by
the terms provided for members of the Board on July 1, 1981.

(3)  At the end of a term, a member continues to serve
until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(4)  A member who is appointed after a term has begun
serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is
appointed and qualifies.

(5)  AFTER JULY 1, 1984, A MEMBER MAY NOT SERVE MORE
THAN 1 CONSECUTIVE 5-YEAR TERM.

(f)  The Governor may remove a member for incompetence,
misconduct, neglect of duty, or other sufficient cause.

(a)  From among its members, the Board annually shall elect
a chairman, a vice chairman, and a secretary.

(b)  The manner of election of officers shall be as the
Board determines.

[17-204.] 5.5-204.

(a)  Four members of the Board are a quorum.

(b) (1) The Board shall meet at least [once] TWICE a year,
at the times and places that the Board determines.

(2) Special meetings of the Board shall be called by
the Board secretary at:

(i) The written request of [two] 2 Board
members or [ten] 5 registered [sanitarians] ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PRACTITIONERS SANITARIANS; or

(ii) The direction of the Secretary of Health
and Mental Hygiene.
