AN ACT concerning
CHAPTER 552
(Senate Bill 625)
Adult Protective Services
FOR the purpose of for the purpose of defining certain terms;
setting out the policy and intent of this State as to
certain adults; establishing a protective services program
for certain adults; setting out the services to be provided
and the general and specific responsibilities of the
program; providing for payment for services; providing for
funding of the program; setting out certain procedures for
investigation, reporting, and emergency services in certain
situations; providing for a certain review board; providing
for the composition of the review board and providing
generally for its members; providing for certain
guardianship proceedings; correcting certain
cross-references; generally revising and reorganizing the
provisions on the review board; providing that Subtitles 1,
2, and 3 of this Act shall take effect only in a certain
situation; and generally relating to adult protective
services.

Section 106, 107, 108, 109, and 110
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1979 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)
BY adding to
Article - Family Law
Section 14-101 through 14-404, inclusive, to be under the
new title "Title 14. Adult Protective Services" and
the new subtitles "Subtitle 1. Definitions and
General Provisions", "Subtitle 2. Adult Protective
Services Program", "Subtitle 3. Emergency
Provisions", and "Subtitle 4. Review Board"

(As enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1984)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 106, 107, 108, 109, and 110 of Article
88A - Social Services Administration of the Annotated Code of
Maryland be repealed.
