AN ACT concerning
District Court Commissioners - Salaries
FOR the purpose of providing that the Judicial Compensation
Commission shall recommend the salary level for District
Court commissioners; establishing a certain minimum the
compensation for District Court commissioners; providing for
a delayed effective date; making stylistic changes; and
generally relating to the compensation of the District Court
commissioners.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
(a)(1) The salaries and pensions of the judges of the
Court of Appeals, the Court of Special Appeals, the circuit
courts of the counties, and the District Court shall be
established as provided by this section, §§ 1-701 through 1-707
of this article, and Article 73B, §§ 55 through 59 of the Code.
(2) THE SALARIES OF THE COMMISSIONER OF THE DISTRICT
COURT SHALL BE ESTABLISHED AS PROVIDED BY THIS SECTION AND §
2-607(B)(2) OF THIS ARTICLE.
(b)(1) There is a Judicial Compensation Commission. The
