AN ACT concerning
Education - Transportation of Handicapped Children
FOR the purpose of requiring the State Board Department of
Education to adopt certain guidelines establishing certain
standards applicable to the certain counties of the State in
regard to the transportation of handicapped children
enrolled in level V nonpublic special education facilities;
requiring each county certain counties to submit a certain
report to the State Board Department regarding such
transportation; requiring a certain review by the State
Board of each Department of a county's plan or procedures
for such transportation; establishing certain standards for
the guidelines and the review; and generally relating to the
transportation of handicapped children; and providing for a
certain effective date and termination of this Act.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(c) (1) The rules and regulations adopted by the State
Board shall take into consideration any hardship cases that
reasonably may require additional expenses to guarantee adequate
transportation during the regular school year.
(2) IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING ADVICE TO THE MOTOR
VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION UNDER § 25-110 OF THE TRANSPORTATION
ARTICLE REGARDING THE ADOPTION BY THE ADMINISTRATION OF RULES AND
REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE SAFE OPERATION OF SCHOOL VEHICLES,
