(2) ON PAYMENT OF ANYTHING OF VALUE BY A PARTICIPANT,
THE PARTICIPANT OBTAINS ANY OTHER PROPERTY IN ADDITION TO THE
RIGHT TO RECEIVE COMPENSATION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning
Vehicle Laws - Alterations Reducing Bumper Effectiveness
Bumpers
FOR the purpose of adding multipurpose vehicles to the
prohibition against operating passenger vehicles and certain
trucks if those vehicles have been willfully or
intentionally altered in a manner reducing the effectiveness
of their bumpers; and relating generally to alterations of
the bumpers of certain motor vehicles.
FOR the purpose of expanding the prohibition against altering the
bumpers of certain vehicles to include alterations that are
neither willful nor intentional; adding multipurpose
vehicles to the prohibition against operating passenger
vehicles and certain trucks if those vehicles have been
altered in a manner reducing the effectiveness of their
bumpers; providing that certain vehicles may not be operated
on any highway in this State if those vehicles have been
altered in a manner that would render the vehicle dangerous
in the event of a collision with another vehicle; setting a
maximum legal bumper height; providing for a delayed
effective date; and generally relating to the prohibition
against altering the bumpers of certain vehicles.
