AN ACT concerning
The Prince George's County Detention and Correctional Centers
Loan of 1983
FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 410 of the Acta of 1983
authorizing the creation of a State Debt to permit the
acquisition or construction of a new building as well as the
renovation and rehabilitation of an existing structure for
use as a driver residential correction center in Prince
George's County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Chapter 410 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1983
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

AN ACT concerning
Creation of a State Debt - Prince George's County
Detention and Correctional Centers
FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in
the amount $9,850,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant to
assist in the construction or purchase and equipment of the
Prince George's County Detention Center Complex and to
ACQUIRE OR CONSTRUCT A STRUCTURE, OR TO renovate and
rehabilitate an existing structure for use as a driver
residential correction center subject to the requirement
that the County Council of Prince George's County provide a
matching fund of a certain type and amount for a certain
purpose by a certain date; and providing generally for the
issue and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur
indebtedness on behalf of the State of Maryland through a State
loan to be known as the Prince George's County Detention and
Correctional Centers Loan of 1983 in the aggregate principal
amount of $9,850,000. This loan shall be evidenced by the
issuance and sale of State general obligation bonds authorized by
a resolution of the Board of Public Works and issued, sold and
delivered in accordance with the provisions of §§ 19 to 23 of
