AN ACT concerning
Carroll County - Commission Employees
FOR the purpose of providing that the executive or administrative
assistant to the Carroll County Commissioners shall be
appointed for a 4-year term; setting the time when the
4-year term starts; creating the office of County Attorney;
providing for the appointment, qualifications, powers, and
duties of the County Attorney; creating the office of County
Clerk; providing for the appointment, qualifications,
powers, and duties of the County Clerk; correcting a
reference; and generally relating to the positions of County
Attorney, County Clerk, and executive or administrative
assistant to the County Commissioners in Carroll County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 7 - Carroll County
3-15.
(a) The County Commissioners of Carroll County are hereby
authorized to appoint an executive or administrative assistant to
the County Commissioners, who shall receive such compensation and
have such powers and duties as shall be determined and prescribed
by said Commissioners. [His term of office shall not extend
beyond the term of the Board making the appointment, but he] THE
EXECUTIVE OR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SHALL BE APPOINTED TO A
TERM OF 4 YEARS WHICH SHALL BEGIN JULY 1 OF THE YEAR FOLLOWING
THE LAST GENERAL ELECTION AT WHICH THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS WAS ELECTED, AND shall be eligible to reappointment
