Ch. 459

(5) "Railroad" includes every common carrier by rail,
however powered, EXCEPT RAPID RAIL TRANSIT SYSTEMS, with all
branches, bridges, cars, extensions, ferries, plants, spurs,
stations, subways, switches, terminal facilities, tracks,
tunnels, and equipment used thereon or in connection therewith.

84.

(a) The Commissioner of Labor and Industry shall:

(11) HAVE NO JURISDICTION IN ANY AREAS OF RAILROAD
SAFETY AND HEALTH UNDER THIS SUBTITLE RELATING TO ANY RAPID RAIL
TRANSIT SYSTEM OPERATING IN THE STATE, NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER
PROVISION OF THIS SUBTITLE OR ANY OTHER LAW.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Cecil County - Tax Sale - Posting

FOR the purpose of repealing the requirement of posting a
property at a certain time prior to a tax sale in Cecil
County; and repealing the required payment of a posting fee.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

Section 75 and 76(g)(v)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

75.

At least thirty days before any property is first advertised
for sale under the provisions of the following sections, the
collector shall cause to be mailed to the person who last appears
