SUCH AN ACTION THE COURT MAY AWARD ACTUAL AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES
AND REASONABLE ATTORNEYS' FEES.

(F) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY OTHERWISE LAWFUL
SURVEILLANCE CONDUCTED BY ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WHILE IN
PERFORMANCE OF HIS OFFICIAL DUTIES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Pensions - Transfer of Vested Benefits

FOR the purpose of providing that persons vested in the
Employees' Retirement System or the Teachers' Retirement
System may elect to transfer their vested benefits to the
Pension System for Employees of the State of Maryland or the
Pension System for Teachers of the State of Maryland,
respectively; providing for the return of a certain ratio of
the accumulated contributions of persons who transfer their
vested benefits under the provisions of this Act; and
generally relating to the transfer of vested retirement
benefits from certain retirement systems to certain pension
systems.
