PART III. RESIDENTIAL PLACEMENTS
10-527.
(A) BY JUNE 30, 1985, THE DIRECTOR SHALL PREPARE A PLAN FOR
RESIDENTIAL PLACEMENTS AND FOR APPROPRIATE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES,
INCLUDING CASE MANAGEMENT, FOR AT LEAST 250 INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE
A MENTAL DISORDER.
(B) THE RESIDENTIAL PLACEMENTS IN THIS SECTION SHALL BE IN
COMMUNITY RESIDENT BASED PROGRAMS.

UNDER THE PLAN FOR RESIDENTIAL PLACEMENTS REQUIRED UNDER §
10-527 OF THIS SUBTITLE, THE 250 INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE A MENTAL
DISORDER SHALL BE:
(1) CHRONICALLY MENTALLY ILL WITH A HISTORY OF
INSTITUTIONALIZATION; OR
(2) AT RISK OF FUTURE INSTITUTIONALIZATION.
Mental Health - Residential Placements of Individuals
with Mental Disorders
FOR the purpose of requiring the Director of the Mental Hygiene
Administration in the Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene to prepare a master plan to be updated annually by a
certain date, for residential placements and support
services for individuals who have a mental disorder;
defining a certain term; providing that, as funds are
provided by the Governor in the Budget, the Director of the
Mental Hygiene Administration shall implement the plan in a
manner which insures orderly transition of individuals.

(A) IN THIS SECTION "DIRECTOR" MEANS THE DIRECTOR OF THE
MENTAL HYGIENE ADMINISTRATION IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND
MENTAL HYGIENE.
