Commissioners 1958 Standard Ordinary Mortality Table, OR ANY
MORTALITY TABLE WHICH IS AUTHORIZED FOR USE UNDER § 83(3)(A-l)(I)
OF THIS ARTICLE FOR POLICIES ISSUED ON OR AFTER THE OPERATIVE
DATE OF § 414(K-1) OF THIS ARTICLE, every paid-up nonforfeiture
benefit and the amount of any cash surrender value, loan or other
option granted shall not be less than the corresponding amount
ascertained in accordance with the provisions of the laws of this
State applicable to life insurers issuing policies containing
like insurance benefits based upon such tables.

(J) NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, A
SOCIETY, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE COMMISSIONER, MAY USE THE
STANDARDS FOR VALUATION AUTHORIZED BY § 83(3)(A)(I) § 83(3) OF
THIS ARTICLE.

(k-1) (12) After the effective date of this subsection, any
insurer may file with the Commissioner a written notice of its
election to comply with the provisions of this subsection after a
specified date and before January 1, 1989, which shall be the
operative date of this subsection for the insurer. If an insurer
makes no such election, the operative date of this subsection for
that insurer shall be January 1, 1989.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

child on the parent's health insurance policy under certain
circumstances.
