(10)  Nondelivery or injury of goods against master or
captain of a vessel -- Where the goods are received on board the
vessel or where delivery is to be made under the contract;

(11)  Action for damages against a nonresident
individual -- Any county in the State;

(12)  Action against a person who absconds from a
county or leaves the State before the statute of limitations has
run -- Where the defendant is found;

(13)   In a local   action in which the defendant cannot
be found in the county where   the subject matter of the action is
located -- In any county   in which the venue is proper under §
6-201.

Article - Health - General

(b) This section does not apply:

(6)  To a person who has the care, custody, or control
of the child through placement by a parent or grandparent of the
child in contemplation of adoption, if the requirements of
[Article 88A, § 20(b)(2) of the Code] § 5-507(B)(2) AND (C) OF
THE FAMILY LAW ARTICLE are met;

(7)  To an institution that has a child care
institution license under this subtitle or [Article 88A, § 20B of
the Code] § 5-509 OF THE FAMILY LAW ARTICLE; or

(b) This section does not apply:

(1)  To an institution or facility operated by an
agency of this State or any political subdivision; or

(2)  To a child care home that has a license under
this subtitle or [Article 88A, § 20A of the Code] § 5-508 OF THE
FAMILY LAW ARTICLE.

(b) This section does not apply to a family day care home
registered under [Article 88A, §§ 32D through 32H of the Code] §§
5-550 THROUGH 5-557 OF THE FAMILY LAW ARTICLE.

SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect October 1, 1984.
