[(4)] (2) with the consent of the Legislative
Policy Committee, any joint legislative and executive body that
the Governor appoints.

[(b)] (C) The Director shall assign, to the staff of the
Department or to a special research or consulting agency, the
preparation of any legal report that [the Legislative Policy
Committee or] a [standing] committee requests.

(a) (1) [The] AFTER EACH REGULAR SESSION, THE Department
shall compile and index:

[(1)] (I) the laws that are [delivered to the
Department under § 2-1513 of this title] ENACTED DURING THAT
SESSION;

[(2)] (II) the executive orders that [are] HAVE BEEN
delivered to the Department under § 3-405 of this article SINCE
THE LAST COMPILATION;

[(3)] (III) the certificates of the Secretary of
State as to the referendum vote on a law, if the vote has not
been published previously; and

[(4)] (IV) the titles of laws and statements of
referendum on laws of each municipal corporation, code county,
and charter county that [are] HAVE BEEN delivered to the
Department as required by law.

(2) AFTER EACH SPECIAL SESSION, THE DEPARTMENT SHALL
COMPILE AND INDEX THE LAWS THAT ARE ENACTED DURING THAT SESSION.

(b) (2) The printer shall print promptly:

(i) the documents delivered under this section;
and

(ii) WITH THE COMPILATION FOR A REGULAR
SESSION, the statement of receipts and expenditures of public
money delivered under Article 19, § 25 of the Code.

The Department shall:

(1)  keep a current list of the public local laws of
the State;

(2)  keep the list accessible to the members of the
General Assembly at all times; and

(3)   [before each session of the General Assembly,
