5-510. APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSES.

TO APPLY FOR A LICENSE UNDER THIS SUBTITLE, AN APPLICANT
SHALL SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE ADMINISTRATION ON THE FORM
THAT THE ADMINISTRATION REQUIRES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section, which is substituted for the
last clause of former Article 88A, § 23, is standard
language used to provide for application for a
license.

The defined term "Administration" is substituted for
the former reference to the "Department" in light of
Article 88A, § 1(a) of the Code.

5-511. COMPLIANCE WITH WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION LAWS.

(A)   "EMPLOYER" DEFINED.

IN THIS SECTION "EMPLOYER" HAS THE SAME MEANING AS UNDER THE
STATE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION LAWS.

(B)  PROOF OF COMPLIANCE REQUIRED BEFORE ISSUANCE OF
LICENSE.

BEFORE ANY LICENSE IS ISSUED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE TO AN
EMPLOYER TO ENGAGE IN AN ACTIVITY IN WHICH THE EMPLOYER MAY
EMPLOY ANY INDIVIDUAL, THE EMPLOYER SHALL FILE WITH THE
ADMINISTRATION:

(1)  A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE STATE
WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION LAWS; OR

(2)  THE NUMBER OF A WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE
POLICY OR BINDER.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article 88A, §
23A.

Defined term: "Administration" § 5-501

5-512. RECIPROCITY.

IF THE OTHER STATE EXTENDS THE SAME RECOGNITION AND
RECIPROCAL RELATIONS TO LICENSEES UNDER THIS SUBTITLE, THE
ADMINISTRATION MAY RECOGNIZE AND DEAL WITH A PERSON LICENSED OR
RECOGNIZED BY ANY OTHER STATE AS BEING AUTHORIZED TO EXERCISE
CARE, CUSTODY, OR CONTROL OF MINOR CHILDREN OR TO ENGAGE IN THE
PLACEMENT OF MINOR CHILDREN.
