(3)   INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES TO TEACH
FAMILIES HOW TO LOCATE AND USE COMMUNITY SERVICES, INCLUDING
HEALTH CARE SERVICES; AND

(4)  HOME MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO TEACH THE MANAGEMENT
OF HOUSEHOLD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING BUDGETING
SKILLS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section formerly
appeared as Article 88A, § 121(c).

Subsection (b) of this section formerly appeared as
Article 88A, § 122.

In subsection (a)(1) of this section, "and" is
substituted for the former word "or" to reflect
apparent legislative intent.

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, "familial" is
substituted for the former word "interfamilial", for
clarity and accuracy.

The only other changes are in style.

4-403. DUTIES OF DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES SHALL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
AND MAINTAIN A PROGRAM TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBTITLE
IN EACH LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES.

(B)   SPECIFIC DUTIES.

IN IMPLEMENTING THE PROGRAM, THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN
RESOURCES SHALL:

(1)  ADOPT RULES, REGULATIONS, AND GUIDELINES FOR
IMPLEMENTING THE PROGRAM IN EACH LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL
SERVICES;

(2)  CONTINUOUSLY MONITOR AND EVALUATE THE
EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROGRAM; AND

(3)  TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE, COORDINATE FOR FAMILIES
WITH CHILDREN THE DELIVERY OF DAY CARE, HEALTH, EDUCATIONAL,
MENTAL HEALTH, EMPLOYMENT, HOUSING, AND CRISIS SERVICES PROVIDED
BY PUBLIC AND PRIVATE AGENCIES.
