(2) CONSIDERING THE WIFE'S STATION IN LIFE AND THE
HUSBAND'S MEANS, THE HUSBAND IS SUPPLYING HIS WIFE WITH:

OR

(I)  ALL NECESSARIES TO WHICH SHE IS ENTITLED;

(II)  FUNDS REASONABLY SUFFICIENT TO BUY

NECESSARIES.

(E)  SAME -- RESCISSION OF ORDER.

IF THE HUSBAND STOPS SUPPLYING HIS WIFE WITH NECESSARIES TO
WHICH SHE IS ENTITLED, OR WITH FUNDS REASONABLY SUFFICIENT TO BUY
THE NECESSARIES, THE WIFE MAY APPLY TO THE COURT AT ANY TIME TO
RESCIND THE ORDER.

(F)  SAME -- NOTICE TO THIRD PERSONS; LIABILITY FOR
PROVIDING CREDIT AFTER NOTICE.

A PERSON WHO, AFTER RECEIVING FROM THE HUSBAND WRITTEN
NOTICE OF AN ORDER PASSED UNDER SUBSECTION (D) OF THIS SECTION,
DOES ANY WORK FOR OR ON THE ORDER OF THE WIFE, OR PROVIDES ANY
GOODS TO OR ON THE ORDER OF THE WIFE:

(1)  MAY NOT RECOVER FROM THE HUSBAND FOR THE WORK OR
THE GOODS; AND

(2)  IS LIABLE FOR DAMAGES IN AN ACTION BY THE HUSBAND
FOR THE ANNOYANCE AND MORTIFICATION CAUSED BY THE PERSON'S
EFFORTS TO COLLECT FROM THE HUSBAND FOR THE WORK OR THE GOODS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article 16, §§
40, 41, and 42 and former Article 45, § 21.

In subsection (a) of this section, the clause "a
husband is liable for" is substituted for the former
reference that stated that nothing in former Article
45 "shall be construed to relieve the husband from
liability for", for brevity and clarity.

Also in subsection (a) of this section, the former
term "engagements" is deleted as included in
"contracts".

In subsection (b) of this section, the phrase "for an
appropriate order" is new language added for clarity.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, "husband" is
substituted for the former term "married man", for
brevity.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the former
phrase "in the City of Baltimore" is deleted to
conform to Subtitle BA of the Maryland Rules.
