OF HUSBAND) AND ............... (STATE HERE NAME OF WIFE) WERE

UNITED IN MARRIAGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CEREMONY OF THE SOCIETY
OF FRIENDS AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LICENSE ISSUED BY THE CLERK
OF THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR........."; AND

(II)  PROVIDE SPACES FOR THE SIGNATURES OF THE
PARTIES AND THE 2 OVERSEERS OF THE MARRIAGE CEREMONY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first half of the
second paragraph of former Article 62, § 4 and the
first sentence and, except for the last clause, the
second sentence of § 5.

In subsections (a)(1) and (b)(1)(i) and (2)(i) of this
section, a blank and the instruction "state here name
of husband" and "state here name of wife" is
substituted for the former terms "A.B." and "CD.",
respectively, for clarity.

In subsection (a)(1) of this section, the term
"perform" is substituted for the former term
"solemnize" to conform to the language used elsewhere
in this title.

Also in subsection (a)(1) of this section, the phrase
"parties to be married" is substituted for
"contracting parties" to conform to the language used
throughout this article.

Also in subsection (a)(1) of this section, the former
phrase "minister of the Gospel, or other officer" is
deleted as included in the clause "any individual
authorized by the laws of this State to perform a
marriage ceremony".

Also in subsection (a)(1) of this section, the former
phrase "the holy state of" is deleted as unnecessary.

Subsection (a)(2) of this section is new language
added for clarity and to conform to the provisions of
this subtitle.

In subsections (b)(1)(i) and (2)(i) of this section,
the term "circuit", which precedes "court", is added
to conform to practice and to the language in
subsection (a) of this section.
