LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 289

This is a final bill and legal notice to the person whose
name appears on this notice. According to the Treasurer or
Collector's tax record you are the owner of the property
appearing on this notice. Some of the taxes listed are in
arrears. [Notice is hereby given you] THIS IS NOTICE TO YOU that
unless all taxes in arrears are paid within [thirty days] 30 from
the date [hereof] OF THIS NOTICE, the Treasurer or Collector will
proceed to sell the above property to satisfy your entire
indebtedness. Interest and costs will be added to the total at
the time of payment.

Treasurer."
(b) Procedure.

(1)  After the expiration of the above notice and on
[the first day of] November 1 [of] each year the Treasurer [of
Washington County] shall make up a list of all taxpayers assessed
with real estate[,] who are delinquent for a period of [two] 2
years or more[, and if the said].

(2)   IF THE taxes, together with the interest, costs,
expenses and fees accruing [and to accrue] to the first Tuesday
in December ensuing, are not paid by that date, [he] THE
TREASURER shall proceed on that day, in front of the Court House
[in said County], to offer [said] THE property for sale to the
highest bidder for cash[, after having].

(3)  BEFORE THE SALE, THE TREASURER SHALL HAVE given
notice [thereof] by advertisement published at least once a week
for at least [three] 3 successive weeks prior to the day of sale
in some newspaper published in [said] THE county[, and upon].

(4)  ON the first Tuesday in December in each year the
Treasurer shall proceed to sell under the terms of [said] THE
notice all property [upon] ON which taxes, interest, costs,
expenses and fees are in arrears [as aforesaid and shall continue
such].

(5)  THE sale [from day to day] SHALL CONTINUE DAILY
on each secular day, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF legal holidays
[excepted], until all of [said] THE property [shall have] HAS
been offered and disposed of.

(6)  The failure of the Treasurer to sell at the time
named [shall] DOES not affect the validity or collectibility of
any taxes or the validity of any sale [thereafter] made.

(7)   If the [said] THE first Tuesday in December
[shall be] IS a legal holiday, then [said] THE sale shall be held
on the next succeeding Tuesday which is not a legal holiday.
