Ch. 289

(9) Such other functions and duties which are not
inconsistent [herewith] as [may be] ARE assigned [from time to
time] by the county commissioners.

(c)  Same; contents of ordinance. An ordinance or resolution
creating a department of public works [hereunder] shall provide
for the retiring, refunding, refinancing, transfer, or assumption
of any existing applicable outstanding bonded indebtedness of the
Washington County Authority, district or commission which
preceded it.

(d)   Inconsistent laws. The powers granted to county
commissioners [of Washington County hereunder] may be exercised
notwithstanding the existence of any public general law or public
local law to the contrary which is in existence at the time the
county commissioners exercise the power granted by this section.

27-1. Injuring or defacing sign.

If any person wantonly injures or defaces any sign, road
marker, automatic signal, other traffic devices, barricade, or
sign used during the course of construction on or along any
County road, [he] THAT PERSON is guilty of a misdemeanor and,
upon conviction, is subject to a fine of not less than [five
dollars] $5 or more than [fifty dollars] $50 for each separate

27-2. Obstructing county road.

[It shall not be lawful for any] A person [to] MAY NOT
