(A) (1) [Of the members first appointed to the Commission
for terms of two years the terms of at least one-third of the
members shall be extended for one additional year; the terms of
at least one-third of the members shall be extended for an
additional two years; and the terms of at least one-third of the
members shall be extended for an additional three years.
Thereafter all] ALL terms shall be for [three] 3 years AND SHALL
BE STAGGERED.
(2) [Any] A member of the Commission [shall] IS NOT
[be] eligible for [not] more than [two] 2 full terms in
succession.
(B) [They] EACH MEMBER shall serve without compensation but
shall be reimbursed for necessary travel and other expenses
incurred in the performance of their duties.
(C) (1) The Commission shall select from its own membership
a chairman, vice-chairman, and a secretary-treasurer to serve a
term of [one] 1 year, [and to be]
(2) THE CHAIRMAN, VICE-CHAIRMAN, AND
SECRETARY-TREASURER ARE eligible for re-election. [provided that
no one] A person [shall] MAY NOT hold the position of chairman
for more than [three] 3 consecutive years.
(D) Upon the death, disability, resignation, or removal of
any member of the Commission, the County Commissioners shall
appoint a person representing the same categoric interest to
serve for the unexpired term.
(E) The State Senator for Washington County and the
President of the Board of County Commissioners [shall] serve as
NON-VOTING ex-officio members of the Economic Development
Commission [without the power to vote].
(F) The Commission [has the power to] MAY establish and
appoint advisory groups and committees to assist in its program
of activity. [of which membership is] MEMBERSHIP NEED not BE
restricted solely to members of the Commission. (1959, ch. 404,

8-35. Same; meetings, procedure.
(A) The Commission shall meet monthly and shall hold
special meetings at the call of the chairman or of any [three] 3
members of the Commission.
(B) The Commission shall adopt [such] rules and regulations
[as] it [may deem] DEEMS necessary to govern its procedure and
business.
(C) A simple majority [shall constitute] CONSTITUTES a
quorum.
