[(d)] (E) Each State agency and department shall cooperate
with the director in implementing the State emergency medical
services system.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

University of Maryland Medical System

FOR the purpose of providing for the creation and organization of
the University of Maryland Medical System Corporation, a
private, nonprofit, nonstock corporation formed under the
general corporation laws of the State; providing for a
community advisory council; providing for the transfer on or
after a certain date during a certain period of time of
certain assets and liabilities of the University of Maryland
medical system to the University of Maryland Medical System
Corporation; providing for an annual contract as to the
financial obligations, exchanges of services and any other
agreed relationships between the University of Maryland and
the University of Maryland Medical System Corporation;
establishing an operating reserve fund; making certain
legislative findings; defining certain terms; making
conforming changes to the Maryland Health and Higher
Educational Facilities Authority Act; and relating generally
to the University of Maryland medical system, the University
of Maryland Medical System Corporation and the Maryland
Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems.
