1486                                        LAWS OF MARYLAND                                    Ch. 284

(2) IF THE PERSON HAS A LEGAL DISABILITY, THE PARENT
OR LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PERSON.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 76A, §
l(i).

In the introductory clause of this subsection,     the

former words "and includes" and "and include"   are

deleted as surplusage since it  does not seem that    the

former definition was intended  to be illustrative.

In item (1) of this subsection, the words
"governmental unit" are added to incorporate the
substance of former Art. 76A, § 1(h), which defined
"person" to include a "governmental agency". See
revisor's note to this section.

Also in item (1) of this subsection, the defined term
"public record" is substituted for the former word
"record", for clarity.

Defined terms: "Person" § 1-101
"Public record" § 5-101

(F)  POLITICAL SUBDIVISION.
"POLITICAL SUBDIVISION" MEANS:

(1)  A COUNTY;

(2)  A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN THE STATE;

(3)  AN UNINCORPORATED TOWN IN THE STATE;

(4)  A SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE STATE; OR

(5)  ANY SPECIAL DISTRICT IN THE STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 76A, §
1(e).

In item (2) of this subsection, the reference to a
"municipal corporation" is substituted for the former
references to a "city" and to an "incorporated ...
town".

Defined term: "County" § 1-101

(G)  PUBLIC RECORD.

(1) "PUBLIC RECORD" MEANS THE ORIGINAL OR ANY COPY OF
