(II) HAVE PRINTED AS MANY COPIES OF THE
PROPOSED CHANGES AS THE GOVERNOR-ELECT REQUESTS;

(III)  ON OR BEFORE THE 1ST DAY OF THE REGULAR
SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, COMPILE A SUMMARY OF THE
PROPOSED CHANGES; AND

(IV)  ON REQUEST OF THE GOVERNOR-ELECT,
DISTRIBUTE THE COPIES OF THE PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE APPROPRIATE
AGENCIES AND OFFICIALS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, §
15-I(a) through (e).

In subsection (a) of this section, the reference to a
"proposed budget" is substituted for the former
references to a "budget report", to conform to the
terminology in Md. Constitution, Art. III, § 52, which
refers to a budget and the accompanying budget bill.
For consistency, in subsection (b)(1) of this section,
the reference to a "proposed budget" is substituted
for the reference to the "Governor's budget".

In subsection (b)(2)(i) and (iv) of this section, the
phrase "of the Governor-elect" is added to modify
"request", for clarity.

In subsection (b)(2)(iii) of this section, the
reference to the "regular session of the General
Assembly" is substituted for the former reference to
the convening "of the next General Assembly", to
conform to other references in this article.

3-206. STAFF.

(A) ASSIGNMENT OF STATE EMPLOYEES.

(1)  ANY STATE EMPLOYEE MAY BE ASSIGNED TO THE OFFICE
STAFF OF THE GOVERNOR-ELECT.

(2)  DURING THAT ASSIGNMENT, THE EMPLOYEE:

(I)  IS RESPONSIBLE ONLY TO THE GOVERNOR-ELECT
FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES;

(II)  IS ENTITLED TO THE COMPENSATION PROVIDED
BY LAW FOR THE REGULAR EMPLOYMENT OF THE EMPLOYEE; AND

EMPLOYMENT.

(III) RETAINS THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THAT
