This substitution is based on the former adjective
"administrative" and conforms to practice. This
substitution also reflects the use, in revision of
Title 10, Subtitle 1, of the word "regulations", with
respect to regulations of State units in the Executive
Branch. See revisor's note to § 10-101(e) of this
article.

In subsection (c)(3) of this section, the former,
specific references to "antiquated" statutes and
statutes "in conflict with another" are deleted as
unnecessary.

In subsection (c)(4) of this section, the former word
"typographical" is deleted as unnecessary in light of
the word "clerical".

2-1319. GENERAL DUTIES OF DIVISION.

THE DIVISION SHALL PROVIDE:

(1)  CONTINUOUS FULL-TIME FORMAL STATUTORY REVISION
SERVICES FOR THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY; AND

(2)  STAFF SERVICES AND SUPPORT FOR THE COMMISSION TO
REVISE THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause of
the second sentence of former Art. 40, § 53A and the
first sentence of § 53D.

The second clause of the second sentence of former
Art. 40, § 53A, which stated the Division has "the
duties ... provided in this subheading", is deleted as
surplusage.

2-1401. REQUIRED SERVICES.

(A) DUTY OF STATE.

THE STATE SHALL PROVIDE THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
WITH REASONABLE OFFICE SPACE AND SERVICES, EQUIPMENT, AND
SECRETARIAL SERVICES, AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.
