Article - State Finance and Procurement
11-203.
(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, this Division II does
not apply to:
(1) procurement by:
(vii) the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission[,]:
1. for services of artists for educational and cultural
television productions; OR
2. WHEN PLANNING FOR OR FULFILLING THE OBLIGATIONS
OF GRANTS OR COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS THAT SUPPORT THE EDUCATIONAL AND
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMISSION;
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005.

(Senate Bill 460)
AN ACT concerning
Horse Racing at Fair Hill - Cecil County Breeders' Fair, Inc. - Takeout
FOR the purpose of altering the percentage of money that the Cecil County Breeders'
Fair, Inc., or its successor must deduct as takeout from the handle for horse
races held at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area; altering the
percentage of the handle paid to the State Racing Commission; and generally
relating to racing at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area.
