SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Correctional Services
3-501.
(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b) "Management Council" means the [State Use Industries] MARYLAND
CORRECTIONAL ENTERPRISES Management Council.
(c) "Contracting unit" means a unit of State government that is:
(1) authorized to contract for goods and services; or
(2) responsible for procurement of goods and services.
(d) ["General Manager"] "CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER" means the [General
Manager] CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER of [State Use Industries] MARYLAND
CORRECTIONAL ENTERPRISES.
(e) "Political subdivision" means a county, municipal corporation, or special
taxing district.
