AN ACT concerning
Off-Road Vehicles
For the purpose of amending provisions of the County Code relating to Off-the-Road
Motorcycles; defining Off-Road Vehicles and requiring such vehicles to be
registered with the County; and imposing restrictions and penalties on the
operation of Off-Road Vehicles.
BY repealing and reenacting with amendments:
SUBTITLE 26. VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
Sections 26-172, 26-173, 26-174, and 26-175,
The Prince George's County Code
(2003 Edition).
BY adding:
SUBTITLE 26. VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
Section 26-174.01,

A BILL TO ELIMINATE THE EXISTING QUALIFIER IN THE DEFINITION OF
"DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES" WHICH STATES THAT GENERALLY,
SUBSTANTIAL RESIDENTIAL ALTERATIONS WOULD CAUSE THE TOTAL
IMPERVIOUS AREA ON THE LOT TO EXCEED 15% OF THE LOT OR 5,000
SQUARE FEET, WHICHEVER IS LESS, AND THAT GENERALLY, SUBSTANTIAL
NONRESIDENTIAL ALTERATIONS WOULD ADD MORE THAN 5,000 SQUARE
FEET OF IMPERVIOUS AREA; TO REPEAL AND REENACT THE DEFINITION
OF "DWELLING UNIT", TO MODIFY THE DEFINITION OF THE "SHORELINE
DEVELOPMENT BUFFER", AND TO ADD A NEW DEFINITION FOR "PASSIVE
RECREATION".
