AN ACT adopting certain National Codes as the Fire Prevention Code for Howard
County; adopting local amendments to the Fire Prevention Code; making a
conforming change; clarifying the Fire Department's authority to respond to
emergencies and imminent dangers, amending the Fire Department's authority
to abate public nuisances; prohibiting false alarms and providing for penalties
when an alarm system repeatedly sends false alarms; requiring a builder to
provide a buyer with the option to purchase an automatic sprinkler system; and
generally relating to the Fire Prevention Code and fire safety for Howard
County.
